"My family, like many, are cursed with genetic predispositions of addiction, obesity, diabetes, and premature death due to cardiovascular disease. I am blessed with the knowledge, and the know how, to help patients decrease their chances of developing chronic disease and in some situations, cure their chronic disease. At 64, I am still an elite international martial arts competitor, with NO chronic health problems, and on NO synthetic medications. I share this with all my patients to demonstrate and to incentivize them that this is possible. The Greek meaning of Doctor is 'Teacher', and of Physician, 'Naturalist'. I teach them and lead them by example. I define a Doctor (Teacher)/Physician (Naturalist) as one who teaches their patients on how to improve their quality of life through Naturopathic-Functional Medicine and to relieve their suffering with both ancient and modern methods."
